The person behind MyWins

I have always been a shy person. And for most of my life, a quiet voice told me I wasn't quite enough - that I didn't really know anything, that I hadn't done anything worth mentioning. On paper none of it was true. I am a DevOps engineer, I have done this work for years, and I am genuinely good at it. But the feeling never read the resume. It just kept whispering that I was an impostor who had somehow fooled everyone.

The strange part is that the wins were there. I just couldn't see them. They happened, and my mind quietly filed them away and moved on to the next worry.

At some point I realized the problem wasn't that I had no wins. It was that I never kept them anywhere. So I started collecting them.

I love statistics - there is something steadying about seeing your life in numbers that don't lie. And a record of wins turned out to be the kindest data I have ever kept. You can write down absolutely any win, big or laughably small, and it waits there for you. On the days when everything feels grey, I open it and find something I had completely forgotten - a moment that mattered so much when it happened that I wrote it down. Reading it back is like a friend reminding you who you actually are.

I think wins are the most underrated thing there is. Our minds are built to hold onto what went wrong and let go of what went right, fast. A wins log just rebalances the record. And there is a quiet joy in looking back over a month or a year and seeing how much you actually did. It lifts your mood, and more than that, it lifts your spirit.

I built MyWins for myself first. Then one day I thought: why keep it to myself? Maybe it helps someone else quiet the same voice, or remember something good they had forgotten. Almost everyone already has a Google account, and I liked that your wins live in your own Google Drive - they are yours. Even if this site disappears one day, your wins stay with you.

I am writing this from Kyiv. These are hard years here, and happiness is in short supply. I try to find it in simple things, and this small site is one of them. Maybe that is exactly why noticing the good matters so much to me right now: when the world gives you little, the small wins are worth holding onto even tighter.

I'll end with one of my own. Years ago, finding the right person felt like a small, lucky win. My wife - I understand now that she was the biggest win of my life. Some wins only reveal their true size when you look back. That is the whole reason to write them down.
